How do I prepare myself for my colon hydrotherapy session?
It is best to eat less processed foods such as cheese, fried foods, white flour and sugar before hand. Also avoiding gas producing foods such as beans, cabbage, cucumbers and dairy.
Will I feel any discomfort?
Not usually. The flushing of the incoming water may stimulate peristalsis of the colon which will help in the elimination process. There may be some mild cramping or discomfort if there is a large amount of fecal matter being released. It is best to relax and let the colon do it's job.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions will vary with the individual. Though individual colon hydrotherapy sessions have their benefits, colonics taken in sequence may have a cumulative effect. Each person is encouraged to progress at the rate they feel comfortable with. Colon hydrotherapy is most effective when done in combination with a proper diet.
Colon hydrotherapy has been around for thousands of years. It was first recorded in ancient Egyptian documents around 1500 B.C. These documents gave directions in performing enemas and the apparatus including syringes and speculums.
